Conan O’Brien made a statement at this year’s Comic-Con with his four night exclusive Bingo event. Without any details, other than “It’s not your grandma’s bingo,” attendees lined up at the iconic orange hairdo outside the San Diego building. After entering what appeared to be an underground club, guests were surrounded by Conan graphics and given a chance to add their own art to a comic filled chalkboard wall. J. Micheal Stauffer, the legendary 21+ Bingo professional, kept the classic game interesting by breaking up the rounds with dancing and karaoke. Food was eaten, drinks were poured, and impressive prizes were given. Appropriately, the Conan Bingo once-in-a-lifetime-money-can’t-buy experience has claimed the name Conan-Con, making the late night entertainer an influential part of the popular weekend event.
